European Heritage Open Day 10 September 2016

KILWAUGHTER CASTLE An opportunity to visit the impressive ruins of historic Kilwaughter Castle and discover the rich heritage on a guided tour and talk. Spanning 400 years of history, from the Scottish style Plantation tower house built c. 1622, the design by architect John Nash in the early 19th Century, to military use during WWII.

The building has been on the Built Heritage at Risk Register since 2003.
